In the first of our new ‘Arighi Bianchi Presents ….’ series, we’re celebrating International Women’s Day with a special panel discussion featuring five female leaders who have varied careers. Our video showcases their accomplishments and highlights some of their personal experiences working within retail, IT, sport, the nuclear industry and manufacturing.

The discussion is hosted by Nick Bianchi, an integral part of the team here at Arighi Bianchi, and our speakers include:

Sarah Bianchi our Managing Director, Sarah has worked within the family business for many years, but actually began her career as Private Secretary to the Right Honourable Edward Heath. We’re extremely proud of how Sarah is taking our business from strength to strength and helping us to expand our ecommerce offering as well as maintaining our reputation in the North West as the destination for luxury homewares and furniture. 

Also on the panel is Francesca Halsall. Fran is a three-time Olympian, World, Commonwealth and European swimming champion and Fran shares some of the challenges she overcame to reach such a high standard in sport. Following her career in professional sport, Fran now works in the nuclear industry as a Business Development Associate at Cavendish Nuclear.

Championing women in tech, Maria Stafrin is Global Head of Commercial IT for AstraZeneca Maria is helping the pharmaceutical giant to achieve industry leading diversity & Inclusion numbers relating to women in engineering and IT roles. Maria explains how she and AstraZeneca are encouraging more females into the tech industry.

An equally inspiring business leader is Jordana Franks, owner and founder of Jordana Ticia Cosmetics. Jordana has an amazing entrepreneurial spirit that has driven her success to start her amazing business from scratch.

And completing the line-up is Tracy Mackey, Managing Director of Kitchenality. Kitchenality are based at the Arighi Bianchi Macclesfield store on the first floor, by the south entrance. Tracy has been working in kitchen design and sales for more 40 years, having entered the industry on a YTS scheme she has seen all sorts of change over this time in what was once seen as a male dominated sector.
