6 Christmas dining table decor ideas to dazzle
Party season is officially here, and if you’re going to be playing host, you’ve probably already planned where your tree and your Christmas decorations are going to go. But there’s another detail to factor in when ‘decking the halls’ for guests; if dinner is involved, you’ll want to perfect your dining table decor, too.
That’s why we’re sharing all of our go-to tips for giving the table a glow-up. These dining table Christmas decorations will help you set the scene for a celebration they won’t forget.
1. Light up the table
Add warmth with candles. Working with varying heights lends the right kind of drama to your dining set-up, so try placing different sized candle holders in a row through the centre of your table. Around three, evenly spaced, will do. Our current favourite combination features two Small Sand Glass Candle Holders either side of one Medium Brown Glass Candle Holder. You could also try the Sand Glass Bubble Candle Holder with tall scented candlesticks propped inside for a touch of elegance.
2. Opt for LED candles
We’ve covered candle holders, but here’s a tip for the candles themselves: choose LED versions, which are much safer when passing food and drinks across the table. Our Real Wax LED Candles come in a range of sizes and colours to suit your decor, allowing you to create a warm glow without any open flames.
3. Add festive foliage
Another chic centrepiece is the LED Champagne Twig Tree, which lights up the table and offers branches from which to hang a few extra decorations. Keep them subtle, opting for a selection of small baubles that match the rest of your decor. You could even hide a little (faux) mistletoe in there with the Hanging Felt Mistletoe.
4. Arrange the fruit bowl
But don’t just add any fruit. Swap your usual apples and oranges for the gloriously glistening Set of 4 Golden Pears and Set of 4 Champagne Apples. Perfect for adding festive flair that – bonus – looks stylish all year round, these forbidden fruits (read: do not eat them) complete your dining table set-up flawlessly.
5. Choose glittering glassware
Now’s the time to bring out your best tableware. Serve drinks in glittering glasses, like the Set of 4 Diamanté Red Wine Glasses or Set of 4 Diamanté Water Glasses (or both). If your dining table decor is glowing for gold, try the Set of 4 Italia Gold Rim Red Wine Glasses and Set of 4 Gold Rim High Ball Glasses. There’s even an Italia Gold Rim Carafe to complete the set.
6. Consider the finer details
Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference; the subtle accessories that set the scene. Like the Diamanté Bottle Stopper topped on the Prosecco or the Diamond Coasters adorning the table. Don’t forget these small but impactful accessories when laying out your Christmas dining table decor. We also love having the Marble Effect Drinks Tray at the ready for serving up a few nightcaps.
