Established for over 150 years, Frederick the founder was born in Shoreditch in 1845. As his fathers cabinet business grew, the family moved to Bracklyn street in Islington where Frederick's love for furniture began. In 1869 he created the business that was to become Parker Knoll from his fathers factory. Over time Frederick Parker built a solid reputation for the development of beautifully handcrafted furniture which led to the furnishing of public buildings and homes. Today Parker Knoll celebrates over 150 years of developing some of the finest furniture in Britain.
